BMW at the IAA Cars 2015 in Frankfurt.

The BMW stand at the 2015 International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main revolves around the arrival of a new generation at the top end of the model line-up and the advent of a wide range of plug-in hybrid models. Hall 11, which is located right next to the main entrance of the Frankfurt exhibition site and has been made available for the joint presentation by the BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands, is where all the latest features and additions are being showcased. The entire exhibition area is surrounded by a circuit several hundred metres in length, where the public can experience the new models in action from 19–27 September 2015.

Automotive luxury of the highest order: the new BMW 7 Series.

The new BMW 7 Series underlines its claim to redefine what an exclusive, luxurious driving experience looks like in contemporary, pioneering form with an exceptional array of innovations. Key factors in enhancing dynamics, efficiency, comfort and safety while on the move are the use of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the body structure, engines from the BMW Group’s new generation of power units, the plug-in hybrid system in the new BMW 740e, the Executive Drive Pro active chassis system, the Driving Experience Control switch with ADAPTIVE mode, and BMW Laserlight. Maximising well-being in the interior, meanwhile, are the Executive Lounge feature with massage function, the illuminated Sky Lounge Panorama glass roof, just the right amount of accent lighting and a smartphone holder with inductive charging station.

The new generation of the BMW 7 Series also boasts standout innovations when it comes to operating system and driver assistance technology. The various new features that are unprecedented in the luxury sedan segment include, for example, the extension of the iDrive system to include a touch display and BMW gesture control, Touch Command for controlling comfort and infotainment functions in the rear compartment, as well as a Remote Control Parking system. In addition to all this, BMW is also presenting the latest generation of the BMW Head-Up Display, Crossing traffic warning, the Steering and lane control assistant, active side collision protection and the Surround View system with 3D View and Panorama View in its new flagship model.

Urban all-rounder that has grown in character: the new BMW X1.

The second generation of the BMW X1 successfully transfers the trademark qualities of a Sports Activity Vehicle to the compact segment with greater intensity than ever. The new edition of this highly popular model makes its mark with powerful proportions and clean lines in the style of its larger BMW X siblings. Inside, the new BMW X1 offers far more space for both passengers and luggage, a state-of-the-art premium ambience and sophisticated functionality.

Petrol and diesel engines from the BMW Group’s latest generation of power units, an efficiency-optimised version of the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system and newly developed chassis technology combine to produce a notable increase in sportiness and ride comfort along with far greater efficiency. Equipment features available for the BMW X1 for the first time include full-LED headlights, Dynamic Damper Control, the BMW Head-Up Display that projects driving-related information onto the windscreen as in the larger BMW X models, as well as the Driving Assistant Plus system.

Top seller in top shape: the new BMW 3 Series.

Featuring a meticulously honed design on the outside, a painstakingly refined premium feel on the inside, a revised engine line-up, a more advanced chassis and additional equipment options, the new BMW 3 Series is perfectly poised to continue an unbroken run of success in the premium mid-size segment that first started four decades ago. The BMW brand’s most popular model range with over 14 million already sold to date once again sets new standards for dynamism, efficiency and design in both BMW 3 Series Sedan and BMW 3 Series Touring guise.

The choice of engines for the new BMW 3 Series comprises four petrol and seven diesel units at market launch. Depending on the particular engine variant, power is transferred via traditional rear-wheel drive or, alternatively, via the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system. The BMW 330e Sedan will furthermore be added to the line-up for the 2016 model year. This plug-in hybrid marries BMW eDrive technology with a four-cylinder petrol unit from the BMW Group’s newest engine generation. While extracting a total system output of 185 kW/252 hp from its duo of power units, the BMW 330e returns average fuel consumption (combined) of 2.1–1.9 litres/100 km (134.5–148.7 mpg imp) and CO2 emissions (combined) of 49–44 g/km (in the EU test cycle).

Versatile interior layout, groundbreaking drive system: the new BMW 225xe.

The model range for the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is also set to be expanded by the arrival of a plug-in hybrid variant in spring 2016. The BMW 225xe serves up a brand new cocktail of BMW EfficientDynamics, comfort, fun at the wheel and all-wheel-drive performance. What’s more, this matchless driving experience is combined with impressive versatility and generous levels of space in a compact-sized vehicle. The space-saving location of the lithium-ion battery underneath the rear bench means that full use can continue to be made of the boot space above.

The interaction between BMW eDrive technology and a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology makes it possible to enjoy both all-electric driving and unrestricted motoring mobility in the BMW 225xe. With a maximum electric range of 41 kilometres (25 miles), zero-local-emission driving can be experienced not just in the city, but beyond it too. Driving the rear wheels with the electric motor and the front wheels with the combustion engine’s power furthermore produces an electrified all-wheel-drive system that is quite unique in the BMW 225xe’s segment and promises outstanding traction in all weathers, especially in adverse conditions. The plug-in hybrid drive has an overall system output of 165 kW/224 hp. Average fuel consumption (combined) in the BMW 225xe is a frugal 2.1–2.0 litres/100 km (134.5–141.2 mpg imp), which equates to CO2 emissions (combined) of 49–46 g/km (in the EU test cycle).

BMW EfficientDynamics: BMW eDrive technology paves the way for electric driving pleasure in four plug-in hybrid models from BMW.

The introduction of BMW eDrive technology in BMW brand models opens up all-electric motoring with zero local emissions to new target groups. Coinciding with the world premiere of the new BMW 7 Series, the plug-in hybrid variant of the luxury sedan, the BMW 740e, is also being unveiled. The BMW 330e with plug-in hybrid drive is being added to the model line-up for the new BMW 3 Series. And it will also be possible to sample the pleasure of all-electric driving with zero local emissions in the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer in future – with the BMW 225xe. This means that, together with the soon-to-be-launched BMW X5 xDrive40e also on display at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the BMW eDrive technology initially developed for BMW i cars will already be available for BMW models spanning four different vehicle segments in 2016.

New performance athlete for endurance racing: the BMW M6 GT3.

BMW Motorsport has chosen the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show as the setting for the world premiere of the new flagship model in the BMW customer racing range: the BMW M6 GT3 has been built for endurance racing and will make its debut on the starting grid in the 2016 season. The racing car designed on the basis of the BMW M6 Coupe is powered by a V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology that has only undergone minor modifications for competition and comes with an aerodynamically optimised chassis. Crash structures and an outer skin made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) help to keep the overall vehicle weight below 1,300 kilograms.

Besides the BMW M6 GT3, BMW M GmbH is also showcasing its latest range-topping model offering the ultimate in dynamic, road-going performance at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new BMW M6 Competition Edition underlines its status as a yet more individual version of the high-performance coupe with a choice of special exterior paint finishes, components manufactured from high-tech CFRP, exclusive leather upholstery with coordinated contrast stitching, and more distinctive touches besides. The new special edition model is available exclusively in the guise of the BMW M6 Coupe in conjunction with the Competition Package that has been geared for supreme performance. This gives the 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology an output of 441 kW/600 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), and when combined with the optional Driver’s Package allows the BMW M6 Coupe to reach a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph).

Cutting-edge lighting technology: BMW Laserlight, expressive interior and peripheral lighting.

BMW makes systematic and successful use of cutting-edge lighting technology in order to increase safety when driving in the dark and to mould a signature brand look. The latest innovations in this field are being presented at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Following on from their world premiere in the BMW i8, the exceptionally powerful BMW Laserlight headlights with anti-dazzle High Beam Assistant are now being made available for the new BMW 7 Series too. The development of lighting technology for the interior of BMW models and the immediate surrounding area never stops advancing either. In the new BMW 7 Series range, a precisely configured lighting design adds to the cabin’s exclusive feel.

BMW ConnectedDrive with new applications and systems.

BMW has translated the latest advances in the field of intelligent connectivity into a further increase in the wealth of driver assistance systems and applications that enhance comfort and safety. The latest additions to the BMW ConnectedDrive portfolio include the new BMW ConnectedDrive App, the BMW Remote Cockpit, the super-fast WiFi hotspot, automatic navigation map updates, smart home integration, as well as Remote Control Parking and other highly sophisticated driver assistance systems making their debut in the new BMW 7 Series.

BMW i: trailblazer for electric driving pleasure and everyday usability.

Following the successful global launch of the purely electrically powered BMW i3 (energy consumption combined: 12.9 kWh; CO2 emissions combined: 0 g/km) and the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car (fuel consumption combined: 2.1 l/100 km / 134.5 mpg imp; CO2 emissions combined: 49 g/km) the BMW i brand is now further cementing its status as a trailblazer for sustainable mobility with a growing variety of vehicle and mobility services. BMW i is already the brand to have won most awards during its introductory phase in the history of motoring. The inclusion of the BMW i3 in the model fleets of the premium car-sharing service, DriveNow, in the United Kingdom, Germany and Denmark now offers the wider public an easy, low-cost way of trying out electric mobility for the first time. At the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW i is additionally presenting the complete range of technological concepts that are ideal for everyday charging at home and in the public domain. The most recent innovation is BMW i Light and Charge – a street light from which the high-voltage battery in an electric car can also be recharged.

BMW i is providing further impetus by transferring technology to current BMW brand models. All the plug-in hybrid models being exhibited by BMW at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, for instance, employ the BMW eDrive technology initially developed for BMW i cars in the form of electric motors, power electronics, high-voltage batteries and intelligent energy management. Equally, the experience with using industrially manufactured CFRP garnered during development of the BMW i cars has now helped to reduce the weight of the new BMW 7 Series luxury sedans.

Mladá Boleslav/Frankfurt, 4 September 2015 – ŠKODA’s passion for expressive design and their new model versions will be on show to the world at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA). One special highlight at the IAA (15 to 27 September 2015) will be the new ŠKODA Superb Combi. The mid-class estate, making its first appearance at an international motor show, combines expressive design and state-of-the-art technology with an impressively large interior. The public will also have the chance to take a closer look at the sporty new ŠKODA Superb SportLine and the ŠKODA Superb GreenLine – the most fuel-efficient and low-emission version of the brand’s flagship. The ŠKODA Rapid Monte Carlo and ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback will also be making their trade-show debut, highlighting the brand’s passion for precision, alongside the powerful ŠKODA Octavia RS 230 and ŠKODA Fabia R5 Combi show car.

A few short months following the successful market launch of the new Superb hatch, ŠKODA will be presenting the estate version of their flagship in Frankfurt for the first time at an international motor show. Just like the hatch version, the ŠKODA Superb estate has reached an exciting new level in terms of technology and design. “ŠKODA plans to grow further by placing increasing emphasis on emotion alongside the brand’s core values of space and functionality,” explains ŠKODA CEO Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland. “The new ŠKODA Superb Combi is the realisation of our goal to provide the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality in the automotive mid-class.”

The new ŠKODA Superb Combi impressively transforms the expressive design of the Superb hatch into the bodywork of a dynamic and elegant mid-class estate. Based on innovative MQB technology, this ‘balancing act’ has also led to the model having the largest interior space in its segment. This applies to both the unusually spacious interior as well as the boot. The total load capacity in the boot is almost 2,000 litres – a size that is otherwise only found in the upper mid-class.

The new ŠKODA Superb Combi has reached a whole new level in terms of Comfort. One particular highlight is the adaptive chassis control system Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), including Driving Mode Select. There are new air-conditioning systems, including for the first time new three-zone climate control, also an electric-opening panoramic sunroof, auxiliary heating, heated seats, rain-light sensor and wirelessly heated windscreen and heated windscreen washer jets. The electric boot can be opened by moving your foot under the rear of the vehicle. New systems make getting in and out of parking spaces easier than ever. Another great feature is having an umbrella in each of the front doors.

The ŠKODA Superb Combi also offers the highest quality in terms of connectivity. The new infotainment systems automatically connect to many smartphones, so that selected applications can be used on the vehicle’s multiscreen. Vehicle data can be accessed using the SmartGate function on your mobile device. With high-speed Internet access, the new ŠKODA Superb Combi becomes a hotspot on wheels. You can even control the infotainment system from the backseat using the ŠKODA Media Command App.

No compromises – that is the motto when it comes to safety. The new ŠKODA Superb Combi has all the assistance systems found in the new Superb hatch. Installed as standard in all EU countries, the model features Front Assist with City Emergency Brake, Multi-Collision Brake (integrated into ESC), electronic tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic differential lock (EDL) with the extended XDS+ function and seven airbags. Available options include automatic distance control (Adaptive Cruise Control), proactive occupant protection (Crew Protect Assist), Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Detect, Rear Traffic Alert, Emergency Assist, fatigue detection (Driver Alert), Speedlimiter, traffic sign recognition (Travel Assist) and Hill-Hold Control. Also available: the masked high beam Smart Light Assist, Light Assist and Adaptive Frontlight System.

The new ŠKODA Superb Combi achieves record consumption and emission values. The new model consumes and emits up to 30 per cent less fuel and CO2 compared to its predecessor, whilst the engine power has increased up to 20 per cent. All-wheel drive is available for four Superb engines.

Sporty design – the new ŠKODA Superb SportLine

The new ŠKODA Superb SportLine, which will be celebrating its world premiere in Frankfurt, features a distinctly sporty appearance. Both the hatch and estate versions of the ŠKODA Superb SportLine have sporty design elements in the exterior and interior, as well as comprehensive equipment. With the exception of the respective base petrol and diesel drivetrains, the ŠKODA Superb SportLine will be available with all the current Superb engines.

The most noteworthy features of the ŠKODA Superb SportLine include the black 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, the tinted rear side windows and back window (sunset), and the sport chassis lowered by 15 mm. The interior of the SportLine version includes a three-spoke sports steering wheel and gear knob finished in leather, sports seats with exclusive seat covers, pedals in an aluminium finish and trim elements in carbon.

Just 3.7 litres diesel per 100 km – the new ŠKODA Superb GreenLine

The new Superb also scores well when it comes to the environment. This is especially true for the new ŠKODA Superb GreenLine 1.6 TDI/88 kW. With fuel consumption of just 3.7 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 95 g per km (hatchback), the ŠKODA Superb GreenLine 1.6 TDI/88 kW sets the environmental standards within its segment both as a hatchback and an estate. On a full tank, the ‘green’ version of the new ŠKODA flagship has a maximum range of up to 1,780 km. Adjustments to the engine and gearbox technology, low-resistance tyres and aerodynamic improvements have made this possible.

Sporty elegance – the new ŠKODA Rapid Monte Carlo

Also celebrating its world premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt, the new ŠKODA Rapid Monte Carlo will be heading to dealerships in November with a fresh look, sporty interior and the latest extras. This is the brand’s sixth model in their impressive Monte-Carlo range.

Black 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, the black finish of the radiator grille frame, exterior mirror housings, front and rear spoilers, doorsills and rear diffuser emphasise the model’s powerful presence on the road. A Monte-Carlo badge is affixed to each of the B pillars. The rear side windows and back window are tinted (SunSet), as are the rear lights. Electrically adjustable and heated wing mirrors, xenon headlights and tinted fog lights come as standard. The sporty look continues to the interior; the three-spoke sports steering wheel in leather matches the gearstick and handbrake, complemented by individual sports seats and other design elements.

Young adventurous compact – the new ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine

ŠKODA will be presenting the special version of their compact hatchback for the first time at a motor show this September in Frankfurt. The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine pulls up with black and silver spoilers, black panelling around the sills and wheel arches, silver 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels and silver door mirror housings.

Real power – the ŠKODA Octavia RS 230 and ŠKODA Fabia R5 Combi

Rounding off ŠKODA’s emotional appearance in Frankfurt, the brand will be presenting two masters of speed – the ŠKODA Octavia RS 230 and ŠKODA Fabia R5 Combi. The ŠKODA Octavia RS 230 combines expressive design with modern technology and impressive horsepower. The Octavia RS 230 is ŠKODA’s first model to feature an electronically controlled limited-slip differential for particularly dynamic cornering as standard. The additional ‘230’ designation refers to the horsepower of the RS special edition: under the bonnet, you will find a 169 kW/230 PS two-litre petrol engine. In combination with a manual six-speed gearbox, the Octavia RS 230 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, making the Octavia RS 230 the fastest series-produced Octavia of all time.

In addition, the Czech car manufacturer will be presenting the ŠKODA Fabia R5 Combi. The estate version of the brand’s successful rally car – the ŠKODA Fabia R5 – has a dynamic look with its distinctive green-white-black finish and 18-inch alloy wheels. The widened chassis houses genuine racing technology, including the 1.6-litre turbo engine with 205 kW (279 hp).

Nueva nota de Citroën para el salón
2015 FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: SHOWCASING CITROËN STRENGTHS IN CREATIVITY, COMFORT AND TECHNOLOGY

CITROËN has been boldly setting trends in automotive creativity for some 95 years now, with cars that are closely attuned to their epoch. Comfortable cars. Cars with inimitable style. Cars that are a genuine pleasure to have around. And as well as the cars themselves, CITROËN also extends its highly individual outlook to services and the dealer network, offering customers an enjoyable, trouble-free experience from start to finish. It’s a unique state of mind, and it’s never been stronger.

True to its winning image in WTCC, CITROËN is well and truly in the race as ever, proudly pursuing its ambitions at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

                    BOLD, CREATIVE CONCEPT CARS
CITROËN’s two concept cars at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show give a good idea of how it sees the car of the future:
World première: Cactus M concept car. This is a fresh, vibrant take on the C4 Cactus, and a fitting tribute to this car’s incomparable design and personality. This chirpy, outdoor car clearly has leisure activities uppermost in mind, much like the mythical Méhari of years gone by. Everything about it extols the CITROËN values.
European première: AIRCROSS concept car. This is a great interpretation of how CITROËN sees the SUV. On this, its maiden European outing, it’s showing off an outline that expresses the global potential of CITROËN’s upmarket positioning.

With these two cars, CITROËN yet again asserts its unstoppable capacity for creativity.

AN UP-TO-THE-MINUTE PRODUCT RANGE, WITH EVER MORE APPEAL

                    Modern product range
CITROËN has released several new models over the last few months, all expressing its unique set of values. First came the C4 Cactus, a crossover of an entirely different kind, a unique personality —technological and comfortable— on the urban scene. C4 Cactus has won more than 35 awards, including the prestigious World Design Car of the Year prize, awarded on 2 April in New York. For Frankfurt it’s sporting new equipment (such as the asymmetrical fold-down rear seats), a new engine (BlueHDi 100 S&S ETG6) and a new body colour (Jelly Red) that makes it even more irresistible. Then there’s the CITROËN C1, also with new equipment (Active City Brake, AFIL) and new colour schemes such as Blue Lagoon, for even more personality.

New takes on existing best sellers
Two best sellers are at the Frankfurt show in revamped versions that keep the closest track of customer expectations: the new C4 and the new Berlingo Multispace, key players in their respective market segments.

                    Comfort, the common denominator
Comfort is the key common factor across the whole of the CITROËN range. CITROËN holds unrivalled know-how in designing cars that offer consistent all-round comfort. And the CITROËN conception of comfort factors in today’s lifestyle preferences to keep pace with shifting customer expectations.

                    MEANINGFUL TECHNOLOGIES

                    Ever more efficient engines
CITROËN harnesses cutting-edge powertrain technologies to offer customers the very best. We see this in the latestgeneration powerplants such as the BlueHDi 150 S&S diesel unit with manual transmission and the BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT6 automatic, both of which power today’s CITROËN C5. Then there’s the PureTech range of petrol units, including the three-cylinder turbocharged PureTech engine, voted Engine of the Year, available on C3, C3 Picasso, C4 Cactus, C4, C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso.

                    Connected services
CITROËN also offers a full range of online services, starting with CITROËN CONNECT, for peace of mind and everyday convenience, and the new CITROËN CONNECT PACK.

                    A 360° CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
CITROËN’s endeavours to offer comprehensive customer well-being through a seamless zero-stress experience rooted in clarity and confidence, the aim being to achieve the highest customer recommendation rating of any automaker. The customer experience goes beyond the product itself, extending to services that are designed to simplify how people interact with their cars. For example, CITROËN Service Racing offers in-the-hour servicing with no cost penalty. Then there’s the CITROËN & VOUS programme, which expresses a series of dealership commitments to the customer. Perhaps the most emblematic is the CITROËN ADVISOR interactive online opinions site, the first of its kind for an automaker.

The press conference will be organised on Tuesday 15 September at 2.20 pm.

The following people will be available for interviews:

Mercedes-Benz Cars at the 2015 International Motor Show in Frankfurt: Dream car and DigitalLife

Stuttgart/Frankfurt. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé and Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet world premieres are the highlights of the “Mercedes Dream Car Collection” at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. The defining feature of the appearance by Mercedes-Benz Cars, traditionally located in the Festival Hall directly at the main entrance to the exhibition site, is the “Silver Flow” – a dynamically shaped large-scale sculpture consisting of silver slats. Daily live programmes at http://www.mercedes-benz.com show the highlights on the Mercedes-Benz stand. The “Mercedes-Benz Media Night” on Monday, 14 September from 7.30 p.m. and the press conference on Tuesday 15 September from 9.30 a.m. will also be broadcast on the internet via live stream (http://www.mercedes-benz.com/livestream). Mercedes-Benz will also be presenting all the information, images and live acts relating to the Frankfurt International Motor Show to the media representatives via the continuously updated website http://www.mercedes-benz.com/iaa-media. The “Mercedes-Benz IAA App 2015” helps visitors get their bearings and offers exclusive material to download.

The free-standing steel construction of the Frankfurt Festival Hall forms the horizon for the exciting Mercedes-Benz brand architecture at the Motor Show: the technically sculptural Silver Flow appears to float weightlessly through the hall, which is over 100 years old. Even on entering the Festival Hall, visitors experience the multifaceted nature of the Mercedes-Benz brand worlds showcased there. An escalator in the open central room takes the visitors from the live stage to a height of 13 metres.

The themed rooms along the route are architecturally varied: from the character of a pit lane at Mercedes-AMG through the cosy atmosphere at Mercedes me to the luxurious spaciousness beneath the dome at Mercedes-Maybach. The balustrades to the central room offer numerous seats and areas for standing as in a stadium, for whiling away the time with exciting views of the “Mercedes live” stage show.

The entire route is accompanied by the sculptural Silver Flow. The play of light creates dynamically fluid atmospheres in the room. The Silver Flow comprises over 400 individual slats which, arranged next to each other, add up to a length of over two kilometres. The new Mercedes-Benz show concept with the Silver Flow celebrated its premiere at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris in 2014. Through the flexibility of the slat structure the brand image can be adapted to the individual trade fairs with a high recognition effect.

Around 150 employees have been working for a year on planning and realising Mercedes-Benz’s appearance covering more than 9000 square metres. Some 850 tons of steel, over 230 kilometres of cabling and some 4500 lights have been installed in the Festival Hall, for example.

When walking through the exhibition, visitors experience vehicles and services up close and personal. The Mercedes-Benz employees are keen to speak to them and are open to dialogue. It is not just in a large exhibition area on the theme of Mercedes me that the visitors are the centre of attention. From here they can also interactively become part of the media installation.

The live idea also shapes the on-stage showcasing. A camera technique familiar from sports and show broadcasts brings unexpectedly dynamic pictures to the media space. Coupled with vehicle movements, live participants and kinetic elements a new type of real-time showcasing is created.

                          smart: Fun in the City
The focus of smart’s appearance at the show in the Forum in front of the Festival Hall is on the new smart fortwo cabrio. The individualisation range smart BRABUS tailor made also plays an important part. The architectural framework for the brand presentation is taken up by the hallmark smart tridion cell as a space-defining metaphor. The framing architecture also divides the stand into various themed areas – Individuality, Mobility, Technology and Design. The brand values Innovation, Functionality and Joy of life are to the fore here. There is the potential for discovery in all areas. Design spy cases and interactive exhibits invite the guests to become better acquainted with the smart brand and its mobility concept.

Fun in the City awaits the International Motor Show visitors in the outside area, where they can test the manoeuvrability and agility of the new smart in a smart City Trial. In the smart Lounge Area the load compartment concept of the smart forfour can be playfully experienced, whilst the smart forgigs, a cooperation between JBL and smart, provides the Sound of the City.

Further world premieres among the new model features
In total Mercedes-Benz Cars is presenting around 100 vehicles in Frankfurt, including several world premieres:

                          – Mercedes-Benz is extending its successful C-Class family to include the exciting C-Class Coupé. Athletic and sporty with every fibre, the clear yet sensuous design of the new coupé adds progressive highlights to the cityscape. A sportily configured chassis, with optional air suspension, forms the basis for an exemplary level of suspension comfort, low road roar and tyre vibration, light, agile handling, and impressive driving pleasure. In sum the new C-Class Coupé has grown up thanks to its high perceived quality and generous interior yet still radiates youthfully dynamic charm. Also celebrating its world premiere is the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé.
                          – The new S-Class Cabriolet is the sixth variant of the current S-Class family and the first open-top luxury four-seater from Mercedes-Benz since 1971. It offers a distinctive, sensual and exclusive design, the cutting-edge technology of the S-Class and a comprehensive warmth and wind protection concept which includes intelligent climate control for cabriolets. At the same time the Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet is making its debut as a superlative dream car.
                          – The new smart fortwo cabrio heralds a very special cult variant of the new model series. The fresh-air fun can be adapted to match weather, wish and whim: at the touch of a button, the new smart fortwo cabrio is transformed from a closed two-seater into a car with a large folding sunroof and then a cabriolet with a completely open roof. This flexibility made possible by the “tritop” folding sunroof and removable roof struts is a special feature not only in this segment. At the same time the new smart cabrio is the first “real” cabriolet in its vehicle class.

A further significant show premiere is the new Mercedes-Benz GLC. The GLK’s successor is being shown to a large audience for the first time. As the GLC 350 e, the mid-series SUV not only represents the comprehensive SUV initiative from Mercedes-Benz, but also the rapid extension of the range of PLUG-IN HYBRID vehicles.

AMG Line: sporty design for the V-Class
A new host of equipment for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class injects additional individual notes and thus make the MPV an attractive proposition for further target groups. It can be ordered with the AMG Line equipment from the end of 2015. The striking design elements of the performance and sports car brand Mercedes-AMG comprise restyled front and rear aprons, profiled side sill panels and AMG 19-inch light-alloy wheels plus an additional spoiler lip. The AMG bodystyling emphasises the unique, progressive design of the V-Class to an even greater extent and at first glance signals sportiness and dynamism. At the same time, with further new equipment features the high level of comfort in the V-Class can be enhanced yet further. The options include the panoramic roof, the large centre console with an integral refrigerated compartment and LED-illuminated thermo cup holders, two iPad® holders in the rear and the climate control for the rear seats.

Mercedes-Benz IAA App 2015: intelligent mix of news and service
Mobile added value with multimedia content on vehicles and show cars comes courtesy of the specially developed “Mercedes-Benz IAA App 2015”. Via a search function, all of the Mercedes-Benz vehicles presented at the show are easier to find. Interactive hall plans also help with orientation. With exclusive download material the app also provides yet more added value: the user can load the spectacular images and insights into the design and technology of the premiered vehicles directly onto their own screen.

Even before the show starts the app is available in a preview version for iOS and Android in the respective stores. The final information will be released at the start of the IAA. Show visitors have the opportunity to download the app directly onto their mobile phones free of charge in the Festival Hall.

New at “Mercedes me”: “My Guide” interactive travel guide
“My Guide”, the interactive travel guide from “Mercedes me”, can be experienced in many places in Frankfurt during the International Motor Show: ten on-trend locations, including bars such as “Maxie Eisen” and “The Parlour” plus the “Jumeirah” hotel are recommended to “Mercedes me” users, with concerts and culinary evenings as lifestyle events during the period of the show. Tips and routes are available to download for use in the vehicle. Anyone can browse online, share items of interest with friends on social networks or upload their own images and contributions. “My Guide” thus forms part of the International Motor Show’s innovative fringe programme.

With the initiative “DigitalLife@Daimler”, Daimler is shaping the digital future. The fusion of the virtual with the real world can be experienced in many sections of the stand – for example through online services like “My Guide” and the mobility platform “moovel”. Those wanting to find out more about “DigitalLife@Daimler” can also approach the Personnel Marketing employees on the stand.
