Deportividad exterior y calidad interior.

Alfa Romeo MiTo JuniorThe Alfa Romeo brand, sports essence and a young vibe: these are the features that made the «baby» Giulia GT 1300 Junior a success ever since its launch in 1966. Better known simply as the 1300 GT Junior, the model was to become one of the biggest commercial successes for Alfa Romeo in the sports segment.
Today, the sport-oriented DNA of that legendary coupé lives again in the MiTo Junior, a brilliant entry-level model designed to make the Alfa Romeo world of grit, agility and sheer fun accessible for younger buyers.
Exterior
On the outside, the new MiTo Junior emphasizes its sporting soul with a few distinctive features such as the new 17″ alloy wheels with white treatment, the sports rear bumper and the chrome-plated exhaust tailpipe. Unmistakably identified by the «Junior» tailgate sticker, the new version also offers special, white-finish door mirror fairings, colour-matched with the wheels and an elegant Satin Chrome treatment for the door handles and front and rear light frames.Interior
True to its positioning as the «sportiest compact car ever», the new MiTo Junior stands out for its unique white stitching set against the sports fabric seats, the new shaped steering wheel design, the special mats with the «Junior» logo and the gear and brake lever leather boots. Equipped with a black-coloured Street dashboard, the MiTo Junior has a special sports instrument panel with white graphics.Equipment
Styled to express its sports nature, and with an outstanding on-road performance setting the standard in its category, the new MiTo Junior comes equipped with a standard dual-zone automatic climate control system, tinted windows, fog lights, cruise control, seats with lumbar adjustment, leather wheel with radio/phone controls and spoiler (configuration available for the French market). .Additionally, the new MiTo Junior features the best equipment currently available in terms of infotainment: a UconnectTM 5» Radio system, including a 5″ colour Touchscreen, Bluetooth® pre-setting with voice controls and MP3 Media Player with USB and AUX-in, SMS reader, audio streaming and steering wheel controls; it is also pre-set for the installation of a top-class BOSE Hi-Fi sound system (with 8 speakers and subwoofer).
Engines and transmissions
New MiTo Junior purchasers can choose from a wide range of engine versions – all efficient, reliable and eco-friendly. Among them are the 105 HP 0.9 Turbo TwinAir, with its lively performance – 105 HP (72 kW) delivery at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 2,000 rpm – and reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. All this without ever compromising on performance: top speed of 184 km/h and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 11.4 seconds. For high-performance enthusiasts, there’s the new 140 HP 1.4 Turbo Petrol MultiAir with Alfa TCT automatic transmission, delivering a stunning 209 km/h top speed with 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 8.1 seconds. All this with reduced emissions and fuel consumption: 5.4 l/100km and 124 g/km CO2 respectively, in the combined cycle.
Newly licensed drivers also have the option to choose between a 78 HP 1.4 petrol version and an 85 HP 1.3 JTDM Turbodiesel version. The latter power unit, in particular, delivers a top power of 85 HP at 3,500 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm from just 1,500 rpm, and can reach a top speed of 174 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 12.9 seconds. One of the second-generation MultiJet engines, the 1.3 JTDm version only produces 90 g/km CO2 emissions in the mixed cycle.

Alfa Romeo MiTo RacerWith its sporting style and roadworthiness, which has made it a recognised point of reference in its category, the new MiTo Racer version makes its debut in Geneva this year targeting a more mature clientele that is interested in new tendencies, as suggested by the numerous chromed stylistic elements and the brown eco-leather upholstery for a vintage look which indicates a sophisticated and contemporary style.
Available on the main European markets from the end of April, the new MiTo Racer, displayed at the exhibition, sports a new white scheme – with seven more to choose from among which slate grey – and an elegant polished finishing for the 17″ alloy wheels and wing-mirrors. The new special series also features a satin-chrome finish for the door-handles and the front and rear light frames, a rear sport bumper, spoiler and chromed exhaust-pipe.
Even greater attention has been given to the interior, where the dark sporting character is enhanced by all-new grey textile seats with brown eco-leather for a vintage effect, matching stitching, and the Alfa Romeo words on the front headrests. Leather cladding with brown stitching also features on the sports steering wheel with radio controls, the gear-stick cover, and the hand-brake.
A further classical touch may be seen in the carpets with Alfa Romeo words and brown stitching, and the black Street dashboard. The standard kit includes manual temperature control and UConnect infotainment system with 5″ touchscreen with Bluetooth interface, Aux-in port, USB port and voice commands (SatNav upon request).
Safety in the MiTo Racer offers as standard 7 airbags, the Alfa DNA (with Q2 and DST electronic differential), the ESC system (including ASR and Hill Holder), fog lights and tyre pressure sensor.
The new version offers a wide range of engines to choose from, all of which are efficient, reliable, high-performing, and eco-friendly, for instance the multi-award-winning petrol 0.9 Turbo TwinAir 105 HP. For a higher performance, there is the turbo petrol 1.4 MultiAir 140 HP with automatic Alfa TCT that reaches a top speed of 209 km/h, 0-100 Km/h acceleration in 8.1 seconds, 5.4 l/100Km consumption, and 124 g/km of CO2 (combined cycle).
The range also includes the turbo diesel 1.3 JTDM 85 HP and 1.6 JTDM 120 HP, both second-generation Multijet engines, and the 1.4 GPL Turbo 120 HP, an exciting blend of power and technology that combines high-level performance with eco-friendliness and modest running costs.
Finally, the MiTo Racer range includes the petrol-driven 1.4 78 HP engine, which, with the turbo-diesel 1.3 JTDM 85 HP, makes it possible even for new drivers to enjoy an Alfa Romeo.
The example exhibited in Geneva sports the original «racer» sticker on the roof contrasting with the Hawthorn White finish. The vehicle is mounted with a petrol 0.9 Turbo TwinAir 105 HP engine with a sparkling personality – 105 HP (77 kW) at 5,500 revs/min and top torque of 145 Nm at 2,000 revs/min – and low consumption rates and CO2 emissions. And none of this detracts from its performance: top speed of 184 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 11.4 seconds.
Ilustro:
