California start-up carmaker Tesla says its upcoming electric premium sedan will have a range of up to 300 miles (483 km)
This set of spy shots shows the upcoming 2012 Tesla Model S doing some hot-weather testing in Death Valley, USA.
The premium 4-door electric sedan looks like it is still deep in development, given all that gear we spot inside the cabin of this prototype. But Tesla has previously said the Model S is due in mid-2012 and that is still a year from now.
The California start-up says the Model S’s top variant, the 300M, will have a range of 300 miles (483 km) on a single charge. Power is supplied by a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery driving an electric motor that enables the Model S to accelerate from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h).

Por tipo de auto (llamese electrico) creo que lo más cercano seria el Fisker Karma o el Volt, pero estos son hibridos… Yo lo pondía más con lo que es el BMW serie 5 y compañia…

1 octubre, 2011 a las 05:51En la página oficial ya aparecen nuevas imagenes digitales del Model S, en general el auto me gusta, no lo niego, el exterior tiene una my buena pinta, pero el interior no me gusta nada, el hecho de tener la consola partida me parece pesimo, nunca me han gustado esos tipo de consolas, y el resto de tablero fue rediseñado pero para mal, me recuerda una especie de GM de hace algunos años…

10 octubre, 2014 a las 18:16Hace unas semanas estuve dentro de uno en Madrid, el sentimiento que me produzco fue un poco agridulce, me gustó mucho… pero había detalles que no me gustaron o terminaciones, por lo que si me comprase uno, decidí que no pagaría taaaanto por un coche así. Con el modelo de 60kw es suficiente, teniendo los supercagadores y dentro de poco en España, no hay que preocuparse por la autonomía. El tema de la conducción autonoma es brutal, una pena que anteriores modelos no puedan actualizarse, van añadiendo equipamientos y mejoras, que normalmente pueden acceder a ellas los modelos vendidos anteriormente.

Updated Tesla Model S with more features, higher price coming soonThe Tesla Model S showed the world that electric cars didn’t have to be slow or ugly but it’s getting a little long in tooth. In order to fix the problem, Tesla will reportedly introduce an updated Model S as early as next week.
Citing company insiders, CNET is reporting the updated model will receive a minor refreshing that includes an all-new front fascia. Details are limited but it will reportedly resemble the one used on the Model 3 and Model X. The car is also slated to have new LED headlights and a revised color palette.
The report goes on to say the facelifted Model S will have a more luxurious interior. Nothing is official but the car will reportedly have new seats as well as additional storage compartments.
There’s no word on performance tweaks but the updated Model S is expected to be more expensive than its predecessor.
Tesla declined to comment on the rumors but released a statement saying the company is “constantly innovating and adding new features to our vehicles.” Despite the denial, the statement confirmed Tesla has “… let customers know that some price changes will take effect in early April.”
