Just a few months after the debut of the hatchback, the new ŠKODA Superb Combi will start into markets from September. Based on innovative MQB technology, this attractive newcomer is setting new standards in its segment in terms of space, comfort, safety, connectivity and the environment. The new ŠKODA Superb Combi has the largest interior space and luggage compartment within its class. The total boot volume is nearly 2,000 litres. At the same time, the new and expressive ŠKODA design has transformed the new-generation model into an emotionally charged estate with dynamic elegance. The new ŠKODA Superb Combi, with this successful overall package, offers an interplay of functionality, emotion and aesthetics.“With the new ŠKODA Superb Combi, we have further developed the existing strengths of the Superb and once again set a benchmark for the competition. With its expressive, dynamic design, we are emphasising and complimenting ŠKODA’s expertise in the estate segment,” said Dr Frank Welsch, ŠKODA Board Member for Technical Development. “The combination of aesthetics, top-of-the range technology and the highest practical benefits makes the new Superb Combi an outstanding vehicle within its segment. ŠKODA has offered an estate version of its top model, the ŠKODA Superb, since 2009. To date, ŠKODA has delivered more than 200,000 ŠKODA Superb Combis to customers worldwide. This represents 35 percent of all ŠKODA Superbs sold in the period from 2009 to now.
The new ŠKODA Superb Combi offers the best
interior spacein its segment. Based on MQB technology, the wheelbase has been extended by 80 mm to 2,841 mm. Simultaneously the track width has increased to 1,584 mm at the front and to 1,572 mm at the rear. The result: even more interior space. In the latest edition, driver and passenger have 39 mm more elbow room than before. Headroom in the front is 995 mm and 1,001 mm in the rear – more than in any other model in the segment. Rear knieroom is 157 mm – around twice as much as the next-best competitor. Elbow room in the rear has been increased by 70 mm. The boot volume also sets a new benchmark: 660 litres, representing an increase of 27 litres compared to the previous model. When the back seats are folded down, the spacious giant’s boot volume reaches an impressive 1,950 litres. The ŠKODA Superb Combi achieves values only otherwise achieved in the upper mid-segment. The new and exciting designof the new ŠKODA Superb Combi makes a powerful statement. The design is more passionate, modern and emotionally charged than ever before. Hardly any other representative in the mid-size estate segment offers as much dynamic elegance as the new flagship of ŠKODA. The use of MQB also plays a central role when it comes to styling: the longer wheelbase, the shortened front overhang as well as the widened track provide balanced proportions and create the car’s extremely dynamic and sporty impression. In combination with increased vehicle length, a long wheelbase, shortened front overhang, a sweeping roof line and a steeply angled rear window, the silhouette evolves as a stylistically confident, perfect entity. The front and rear are expressive and unmistakable.
The new ŠKODA Superb Combi comes with a veritable armada of
new assistance systems from higher vehicle classes for increased safety, eco-friendliness and comfort. Like the Superb hatchback, the new Superb Combi also features Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). Thanks to the new EU6 engines, the latest edition is more powerful and at the same time up to 30 percent more efficient than its predecessor. Connectivity reaches a new level of quality: the latest generation of infotainment systems automatically connects to all standard smartphones via SmartLink (MirrorLinkTM, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology). The optional high-speed internet connection turns the new Superb Combi into a ŠKODA hotspot on wheels. In September, the new ŠKODA Superb Combi will celebrate its premiere at the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. The new model will be launched onto the first markets in the same month.
Esos pilotos traseros son muy VAG. Parecidos a los de algunos modelos de SEAT, de Audi y de VW. El coche, particularmente, me encanta, tanto en la versión berlina como en el combi.
Pena que no me gusten los autos tan grandes.

Que pena que no lo escalen a los 4,20 cms.Me dicen que la parte posterior de la carrocería Combi es un photoshop amateur de «nuestras reinterpretaciones» y me lo creo. Me gusta, es un diseño moderno, pero no me convencen los faros delanteros. Lo demás bien.
No me había fijado en las puertas. El marco superior sólo es la parte que recubre la tira cromada. Mola. Coincido en lo del faro. En foto se ve extraño el quiebro. Sería más bonito sin él. Todo recto. Aunque en persona igual el detalle ese se ve bonito.
Creo que será dificil verlo en la calle. Las berlinas tienen nombres y apellidos y, el SuperB, pese a su belleza, va a ser un rara avis. El nombre vende. Y el apellido tb.

Si que es verdad que en los últimos tiempos no tanto, al ser ya un modelo veterano, pero creo que esta nueva generación de modelos hará pupita, tienen fama de ser buenos coches y la economía no es la de antes. Y ya con la presenci que tiene hace un conjunto interesante. A ver que pasa.
Tengo curiosidad por verlo en persona tb. Es un coche que merece la pena. Es de esos que se compran con la cabeza y con el corazón. Pero el qué dirán pesa y mucho, por lo menos en Spain.

A falta de estar revestidos de guarnecido, no sería un mal detalle. Pero para un coche de su segmento, entre la falta de tapizado en las puetras y la chapa a la vista en los marcos interiores, resulta un tanto pobre. Los mandos de los asientos eléctricos .. no me parece que estén en la mejor ubicación. This is particularly true of the new ŠKODA Superb GreenLine that ŠKODA will be presenting to the public for the first time at the IAA (Frankfurt International Motor Show). With an impressive fuel consumption of 3.7 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 95 g/km (hatchback version), the new ŠKODA Superb GreenLine 1.6 TDI/88 kW sets the environmental standard in its segment – both estate and hatchback version. With one trip to the petrol station, you can drive the ‘green’ version of ŠKODA’s new flagship more than 1780 kilometres.The ŠKODA Superb GreenLine 1.6 TDI/88 kW is equipped with a manual six-speed gearbox. Just as the engines in the standard Superb, the 1.6 TDI is fitted with a start-stop system and brake energy recovery (recuperation) as standard. Additional features of the new GreenLine-Version include longer gear ratios and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction).
Moreover, the body, chassis and underbody of the ŠKODA Superb GreenLine has been aerodynamically fine-tuned. The chassis is 15 mm lower than the standard Superb. The Superb GreenLine features a tailgate spoiler; the Superb estate GreenLine has a roof spoiler. These adjustments contribute to significantly improved aerodynamics for the Superb GreenLine models, giving it a lower drag coefficient: The Superb GreenLine achieves a value of 0.263; the Superb Combi GreenLine comes to 0.275.
The ŠKODA Superb GreenLine achieves a combined diesel consumption of just 3.7 l/100 km. The CO2 emissions stand at only 95 g/km. The new ŠKODA Superb GreenLine 1.6 TDI/88 kW (both estate and saloon version) sets environmental standards in its segment. After only filling up once (66 l diesel) the Superb Greenline can do travel over 1780 km.
To meet the various emission standards around the world, the Superb utilizes two exhaust gas treatment units: an oxidation catalytic converter and diesel particulate filters. The nitrogen oxides are reduced through the Superb GreenLine’s SCR system, using the reducing agent AdBlue. This synthetically manufactured, 32.5% solution of high-purity urea in demineralised water treats the diesel exhaust, not only reducing nitrogen oxides, but also saving fuel.
The reduced rolling resistance tyres are mounted on 16-inch wheels, with 17-inch available on request. The ŠKODA Superb GreenLine is marked on the boot door with a GreenLine badge. The rear side windows and the back window are tinted (sunset), the fog lights are equipped with Corner Function.
The Greenline version is on offer with equipment versions ‘Active’, ‘Ambition’ and ‘Style’. Since 2008, the GreenLine term has denoted the most economical fuel-saving ŠKODA model in a model series.
