El frontal me gusta, pero la parte trasera nada. En cuanto al interior queda muy elegante, y sobre todo han quitado el marco atrapahuellas de la radio, ojalá lo extiendan al resto de la gama..

nota de prensa, en inglés CNG Campaign: The New ŠKODA Octavia G-TEC
2/20/2014
ŠKODA presents the best-selling Octavia in Geneva; now with CNG drive. Bivalent engine runs on natural gas or petrol. Environmentally-friendly: only 5.4 m3 (3,5 kg) CNG per 100 km (97 g CO2/km). Refuelling king: up to 1,330 km with natural gas and petrol.
Also the new ŠKODA Octavia is going to be available with a natural gas engine for the first time. The world premiere for the ŠKODA Octavia G-TEC is taking place in Geneva at the start of March, making this the brands’ second natural gas model alongside the ŠKODA Citigo. The environmentally-friendly engine will be available for the Octavia saloon and Octavia estate.
“The natural gas engine is an important element in the ŠKODA sustainability strategy and and is now making its way into our best-selling model series,” says Dr. Frank Welsch, ŠKODA Board Member for Technical Development. “Using CNG technology makes sense, as it combines environmentally-friendly mobility with affordability. The Octavia G-TEC is making our Octavia series even more attractive and eco-friendly.”
The new ŠKODA Octavia G-TEC is powered by a 1.4 TSI turbo petrol engine with an output of 81 kW (110 hp). The bivalent engine has been designed for CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and petrol. The G-TEC package includes a number of technological features, such as the Start-Stop System and regenerative braking. The modern powertrain also meets the Euro6 emission standards valid from September 2014.
The new Octavia G-TEC can manage impressive distances between refuelling: On CNGalone, the vehicle can travel up to 410 km without refuelling. Consumption stands at5.4 m3 (3,5 kg) natural gas per 100 km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of just97 g/km. Distances of up to 920 km can be travelled on petrol. This gives the Octavia G-TEC a total of 1,330 km after one stop at the petrol station.
With the launch of the new ŠKODA Octavia G-TEC, ŠKODA is once again setting standards in terms of environmentally-friendly vehicles. The brand currently produces 97 models with emissions under 120g CO2/km, including 17 with values less than 100g CO2/km.
