      Mitsubishi Motors Announces Its Mid-term Business Plan, Challenge 2025, to Further Growth & the Next Generation

       

      Tokyo, March 10, 2023 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (hereafter, Mitsubishi Motors) today announced its three-year mid-term business plan (fiscal 2023 to 2025), Challenge 2025, to take on the challenge of further growth and the next generation.
      On the basis of the lean and agile business structure put in place through structural reforms enacted thus far, this plan will establish a stable revenue base through selection and concentration in Mitsubishi Motors’ regional strategy and the continuation of company-wide revenue improvement activities. In addition, Mitsubishi Motors will achieve sustainable growth through higher and stable spending on R&D and CAPEX, which will include increased expenditure on electrification, IT and new business as a proportion of total expenditure.
      In terms of products, Mitsubishi Motors will continue to work on electrification as a solution to the global-level issue of climate change and to help achieve carbon neutrality. The company’s regional strategy will see it accelerate the selection and concentration it has employed thus far and clarify the role of each region, before distributing management resources accordingly. In terms of business, as well as working on value chain expansion, Mitsubishi Motors will take on the challenge of new business to create new future sources of revenue. Furthermore, the company will build long-term relationships of trust with customers through products and technology encapsulating Mitsubishi Motors-ness, and promote our brand value.
      The main initiatives of this plan are as follows:
      • Aim for a sales volume in the 1.1 million vehicle and operating profit of 220 billion yen (OP margin 7%)
      • Concentrate management resources in ASEAN / Oceania, and increase sales volume, market share, and revenue.
      • In the next five years roll out 16 models (including nine xEVs)
      • Increase the investment by around 30% over the six years to 2028 compared with the past six years in R&D expenses and CAPEX
        (Allocation of investment on electrification, IT and new business is expected to reach around 70% from FY2026 onward)
      • Reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in order to help achieve carbon neutrality
      • Invest a total of 210 billion yen by 2030 to procure 15GWh of battery procurement
      • Further bolster linking with Alliance (mutually complementary OEM products, etc.)
      • Take on the challenge of new business using assets unique to an automobile manufacturer (energy management, battery reuse, data sales, etc.)

        Renault presenta su nuevo avatar Reno.

        Este avatar estará disponible tanto en el sistema de sus futuro eléctricos a partir de 2024 como en su nueva APP. Los usuarios de la aplicación podrán encontrar información previa, contenido exclusivo y acceder a pedidos anticipados para futuros R5 y R4.

        La aplicación está disponible en Francia desde el 17 de marzo de 2023 y estará disponible este verano en Alemania, España e Italia.

                      Renault se estaría replanteando la decisión de adjudicar la sede de Horse a España para adjudicársela a Rumania. Esto viene a raíz de que el gobierno español no se ha pronunciado en contra de la Euro 7 mientras que Rumania sí.

                                        Demanda a Renault por los problemas del motor 1.2 tce

                                        Este motor se ha montado tanto en Renault como en Dacia y Nissan. Afectan a los producidos desde 2012 a 2018, y se cree que Renault sabía de ello, aunque lo niega. Un fallo de diseño que hace que se mezcle aceite con la gasolina y produzca roturas de motor

                                          Nuevo teaser del nuevo «concept» de Renault, que no llego a saber qué es, supuestamente presentarán nuevas tecnologías y por lo que puedo ver lo harán en una versión actualizada del Scenic Vision.

                                                  Alpine tendrá una plataforma para eléctricos a medida.

                                                  Después de que no se llegara a un acuerdo con Lotus, Luca de Meo anuncia que la marca tendrá su propia plataforma que se usará para diversos modelos eléctricos.

                                                  Por ahora no se han dado detalles si será solo para deportivos o se usará en modelos más convencionales. El día 26 de Julio Alpine celebra el día del inversor y se ampliará esta información.

                                                    Boulogne-Billancourt, June 19, 2023 – Luca de Meo, Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group, will also lead the executive team of Ampere, its electric vehicles and software subsidiary. It will be effective upon completion of the carve-out of Ampere, which is envisioned in H2 2023. Luca de Meo will retain his current responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group.

                                                    Two high potential Renault Group executives, Josep Maria Recasens and Vincent Piquet, will be appointed respectively Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer of Ampere.

                                                    These appointments at the highest level of the Group will ensure the best support to execute Ampere’s innovative and profitable plan, including its envisioned initial public offering.

                                                    Luca de Meo, Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group, said: “Thanks to work done in the Renault Group over the past 2 years, Ampere is about to hit the ground running, supported by unmatched assets from Day 1: one of the most integrated EV value chains in the industry, a pioneering approach to Software Defined Vehicle, and state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing capabilities.                                                     Ampere is a growth story, shooting for 30% compounded annual revenue growth rate (CAGR) until 2030. With 80% of its investments already behind, it targets operating profit and free cash-flow breakeven as early as 2025, and a double-digit margin in 2030.

                                                    In the last 2 years, the Renault Group has paved the way for Ampere’s ambitions. From Day 1, Ampere can rely on one of the best EV and Software ecosystems in Europe, including:

                                                    • Outstanding EV value chain coverage thanks to a unique ecosystemic approach, from 10% in 2019, to 30% in 2022, to 80% in 2030.

                                                    Now, by setting up a team of around 10,000 highly skilled people, of which one third engineers, Ampere is ready to compete with the best EV and software players:

                                                    • Reducing costs by 40% on a car-by-car basis in the next vehicles generation by 2027+. Part of the levers allowing for this will already be embarked into the production of Renault 5 (2024) and Renault 4 (2025).
                                                    • Exploring current and upcoming battery technologies from sodium ion to solid state.
                                                    • Reaching around 90% battery-to-wheel e-powertrain efficiency.
                                                    • Lowering parts diversity by around 30%.
                                                    • Pushing manufacturing productivity at the best levels, reaching less than 10 hours production time per vehicle.
                                                    • Developing an innovative, cost-efficient, and open Software Defined Vehicle architecture.
                                                    • Offering peace of mind at every step of the customer journey: the choice to go digital or physical; a smooth charging experience with a dense European network; enhanced car reselling value thanks to full lifecycle management and SDV upgradeability.

                                                    Beyond technology and competitiveness, Ampere will project the Renault history into the future. It will rely on a compelling line-up, including instant classics like Megane E-Tech electric, Scenic E-Tech electric, Renault 5 and Renault 4.
