      es que el anteriormente conocido como CLK, ahora pasa a llamarse E Coupe, y toma la plataforma del E ya no del C como el CLK

        El Serie 3 no llega a los 4,60 m, en cambio el A4 creo que está cerca de los 4,80. Lo veo más necesario en Audi que en BMW.

        ya pero el A4 es un coche casi recien estrenado, cuando el serie 3 esta a mitad de su vida comercial, con un facelift ya hecho, supongo que la proxima generacion se acercara al tamaño del actual A4

              Small, fast and efficient… Say hello to the Abarth Coupe, the most exciting performance car of 2010! Our exclusive pictures show how the sporty two-seater will shape up should Fiat put it into production, giving Abarth a three model line-up to make its assault on the performance car market.

              The revived brand is riding high following the raucous reception for the 500 Abarth, which goes on sale in February, while the Punto Abarth was launched earlier this year. And with increasing numbers of buyers downsizing to smaller and more fuel-efficient cars, there’s never been a better time to introduce a model like this. But can it succeed where the Smart Roadster failed?

              Based on the 500’s platform, the Coupe will use a simple front-wheel-drive, front-engine layout to minimise costs. It will also mimic Ford’s conversion of the Ka into the Street Ka, by carrying the majority of components and switch gear straight over from the 500.

              A lightweight aluminium chassis and low-slung stance should ensure that it retains the go-kart-like handling synonymous with Abarth models of the past. While the compact dimensions make it perfectly suited to twisting European roads and small enough to be threaded through town traffic.

              If Fiat looks to the past there’s no shortage of inspiration for the new Coupe’s design. Models such as the 1959 Abarth 750 Zagato Coupe employed a similar philosophy to the newcomer with a lightweight aluminium body, two-seater layout and extravagant good looks. And as always with Italian sports cars, style is high on the agenda for the Coupe, too.

              Sloping headlights and huge front air-intakes give it a snarling face, while vents in the bonnet and behind the front wheels are a sign that there’s pace to match the car’s looks. Just like the Smart Roadster, a removable roof panel allows occupants to get the open-air experience without the need for an expensive and heavy folding top. And lastly, the trademark Abarth white and red colour scheme with distinctive decals mark the car out from other traffic.

              The racy theme continues in the cabin, with turbo pressure gauges and Abarth Scorpion logos a plenty. Expect sculpted racing seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel, too.

              Driving enthusiasts will enjoy Fiat’s Torque Transfer Control (TTC), which mimics a front limited slip differential to maximise traction in the bends, while LED flashing lights on the dash alert the driver at the optimum moment to change gear – either to extract maximum performance or boost fuel economy.

              Carlo Abarth, the company’s founder, was famous for wringing impressive levels of performance from small-capacity powerplants, and the Abarth philosophy has stayed true to this day. The most likely candidate for the Coupe is the 1.4-litre turbocharged unit from the 500 Abarth, kicking out 135bhp and 180Nm of torque – although an ‘esseesse’ (pronounced essay essay) version with 158bhp and 230Nm of torque, but still returning 45mpg at the pumps, could also make it to production. With the car weighing in at little more than 1,000Kg, expect a 0-60mph time of around eight seconds for the lower-powered version and seven seconds for the ‘esseesse’.

              The Smart Roadster’s downfall was its extortionately high price. But it seems Fiat isn’t about to make the same mistake. Prices for the Abarth Coupe should start from around £12,000 – undercutting the cheapest Smart Roadster by £1,500. Fiat is staying tight-lipped about it’s production plans for the Abarth Coupe, but if it does make it to showrooms, expect the care to break cover in 2010 and go on sale in 2011.

                Suzuki Kills the Kizashi

                The Suzuki Kizashi concept was unveiled to the public amid much fanfare at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. Thereafter Suzuki showed us the Kizashi 2 crossover concept and then finally culminating into a sedan version known as the Kizashi 3 concept. Breaking past concept form the sedan was approved for production as seen in these spy pictures taken while the vehicle underwent testing.

                Sadly the Japanese company has shelved production plans for the car, no thanks to market pressures that are depressing sales in the auto world at the moment. Suzuki CEO Osamu Suzuki had, as early as September 2008, hinted at the idea of canning Kizashi, saying how little sense it makes to sell such a car in such a market, especially in the segment where the Kizashi would play with its 3.6-litre V6 flagship model.

                Meanwhile, Suzuki’s plans for plants in Thailand and Russia have also been frozen. Even investment plans in the company’s India market where it commands a market share of about half, have been cut.

                    Hot on the heels of the launch of the California comes this spy shot that appears to show that there’s a new supercar on the way from the Famous Italian firm.

                    And this time it looks to be the spiritual successor to the Dino, giving the firm a Porsche 911 rival.

                    it was thought that Ferrari had completed development of ‘entry-level’ small models. However this prototype is based on the 599 GTB, but has a shorter wheelbase and smaller wheels.

                    Should a Porsche 911 rival from Ferrari be given the go ahead, it is likely to use the California’s 450bhp 4.3-litre V8 and seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox.

                      Ahora toca el Cadillac.

                      Cadillac officially unveiled the 2010 SRX crossover at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California earlier this year, but General Motors’ luxury brand failed to give us a look at the CUV’s interior. However, our spy photographers were once again Johny on the spot, giving us our first looks at the car’s insides.
                      Though Cadillac hasn’t released official details, the 2010 SRX is expected to be powered by the same 3.6-liter V6 engines under the CTS’ hood. Two-wheel-drive will likely be standard with all-wheel-drive on the options list. It’s expected that the SRX will be based on GM’s Theta Premium platform. Pricing shouldn’t be much more than the outgoing model, though no details have been confirmed yet.
                      Cadillac says that the 2010 SRX will be in dealer showrooms in mid-2009, following January Detroit Auto Show appearance.

                        [i]Bush anuncia que ayudará al sector del motor para evitar su colapso[/i]

                        El presidente George W. Bush ha hecho hoy el anuncio más esperado por la industria del automóvil: el Gobierno dará miles de millones de dólares en ayuda financiera al sector mientras implementa su plan de reestructuración. De lo contrario, ha afirmado, su colapso podría enviar a la economía a una recesión más larga y profunda.

                        Bush ha anunciado a los periodistas que destinará 17.400 millones de dólares (12.200 millones de euros) en préstamos a las empresas del motor, dinero al que tendrían acceso inmediato Chrysler y General Motors. De esta cantidad, 9.400 millones de euros estarán disponibles de inmediato y la cantidad restante estará a disposición en febrero.

                        Tras recibir el rechazo del Congreso, estos fondos provendrán del programa de alivio de 700.000 millones de dólares aprobado en octubre y originalmente diseñado para ayudar a los bancos. Las ayudas están condicionadas a la presentación de planes que garanticen el futuro y la rentabilidad de las empresas.

                        Bush ha explicado que el Gobierno desechó por el momento la posibilidad de permitir la quiebra de los grandes grupos automovilísticos, pues ello supondría hacer la recesión más larga y «dejaría al próximo presidente enfrentándose a la muerte de una industria vital».

                        «La opción más recomendable es que se organicen fuera de la quiebra», ha defendido el presidente estadounidense, quien no obstante ha precisado que los fabricantes tendrán tres meses para presentar sus planes de reorganización y convertirse en empresas «viables». «Si no se puede cumplir, entonces sí se prepararán para acogerse al capítulo 11 de la Ley de Bancarrota», ha advertido.

                          yo de esa lista veo muy interesantes el Alfa 147, el Bravo, Focus, Ceed y el Astra. Yo del Astra he podido probar ese motor 1.3 CDTI de 90cv y va muy bien con unos consumos bastante ajustados, el coche se mueve con soltura, ahora claro no es lo mismo que uno de 120cv, pero a mi me parecio mejor que el 1.7 de 100cv por ejemplo.

                              Mondeo creo que el titulo que das para el link no es correcto o lleva a confunsion para la gente que por ahi no lee la nota de MotorAuthority. Lo que se retrasa es la construccion de la planta de motores en Michigan para conservar un poco mas de caja, el coche no se retrasa (de momento), ya que se espera para fines de 2010 principio de 2011, por lo tanto el retraso de la planta de motores no afecta a la fecha de comercializacion del Volt ni del Cruze, ya que ademas de motores para el Volt esta planta tambien dara motores al Cruze americano.

                                yo creo que el que necesita 5 plazas toda utilizables, o sea una familia que tenga 5 miembros se va a un monovolumen, donde caben 5 personas comodas. En una berlina o un compacto la plaza del medio atras es bastante incomoda

                                  A ver lo pongo aqui, porque hay otro tema, este http://cochespias.net/foro/index.php?topic=1740.0, que es especifico del California aunque el titulo del tema era Ferrari Dino. Aparentemente sobre la misma base del California Ferrari va a sacar otro modelo por debajo de este con motor frontal. No se si esta bien hacer un nuevo tema, o unirlo con el que cite anteriormente, por lo tanto lo pongo aqui y que los moderadores decidan lo que es mejor. No se si sera un coupe por debajo del California como dice el articulo, o si sera una version del California Coupe, ni idea la verdad. El articulo de Motorauthority.

                                  Spy shots: Test-mule for future small Ferrari

                                  A mysterious Ferrari 599 Fiorano GTB has been spotted testing around Germany but a closer look reveals that this is no ordinary 599. A number of ill-fitting panels, a visibly shorter wheelbase, and makeshift exhaust pipes suggest that Ferrari is out testing a new test-mule – but for what car?

                                  The wheelbase of this vehicle makes it about the same size as the recently revealed California, and the front-engine layout means this is not a replacement for the F430 or the Enzo. This has led to speculation that the long-rumored ‘Dino’ Ferrari small car may be back on the table.

                                  Though officials from Ferrari have consistently disputed claims that an affordable Dino would be launched, the current economic climate and changing consumer preferences may have persuaded the higher ups at the Italian company.

                                  Furthermore, Ferrari has long been reported to be considering introducing a new turbocharged V6 engine to help meet upcoming environmental regulations, and a new entry-level model would be the perfect test-bed for gauging its success.

                                  At the same time, Ferrari is also running test-mules for a new mid-engine model most likely the successor to the Enzo supercar. The car is expected to feature a forced-induction V8 powerplant with a large centrally mounted exhaust pipe and an active aerodynamics package.

                                        Yo creo que al empezar tan altos los parachoques es facilmente diferenciable este y el GTC con respecto al 5p, de hecho en la actual generacion el GTC no lleva el mismo parachoques que el 5p, asique no creo que haya mucho problema en darle mas agresividad a este y al gtc y dejar el 5p menos agresivo, es solamente ponerle otro parachoques tal y como sucede en la actual generacion.
